Just saw this from an announcement earlier this week. Is this the beginning of the end for those of us with limited budgets?

I believe an editor's error lopped a couple sentences off that ESPN dispatch..

"The league will be the first to run out truly professional athletes in a move clearly designed to boost their sagging image.

The league will cast aside any illusion of "amateur" athletic competition for it's members.

The Big 12 becomes the first to declare that income matters more than education or personal achievements."

The beginning of the end happened as soon as expansion started. This is just another step in the process.

In other news, the sky is falling.

I like the multi year scholarship. Need to see a bit more details on "reasonably related expenses". Hey coach, I need a car to get to class and practice....
