Nice quote regarding their 50-42 OT win against Loyola Marymount.

Ohio B.S.-66, Nebraska M.S.-68. I can't lose in this one. First time that I remember that my schools have played each other. Looking forward to this one.

According to the prospectus, we are 0-3 all time vs Nebraska. First game in 21 years.

Dec 19 1957 - at Nebraska L 53-61

Nebraska beat us 94-68 in the Ameritas Classic in Lincoln December 1993. I drove up from Kansas City. Trent was a sophomore and Geno was a freshman. I remember it was disappointing in that we had just flown in from an east coast road trip and didn't play up to our capabilities. We should not have played Nebraska in the first round.

Missed that one. The lost years, probably watching the kid play BB that nite.

Think Frank is going to the game? @bleedgreenandwhite do you still have your cornhusker head?

Bobcats without an RPI top 200 win. Hope that ends on Christmas Day.

What was unique was their coach being interviewed on Bobcat radio after the game. Danny Nee.

Somehow, as of this morning, 3-10 Arkansas Pine Bluff is ranked 190 in the RPI.

I wonder, have Saul and Tim Miles ever coached against each other prior to tomorrow?

I was at that game, and it was not close. Of course, that was one of Nebraska's better teams ever, a #6 seed in the big dance. Unlike Ohio, however, Nebraska has never won a game in the NCAA tourney in 7 tries.

Go Bobcats.

Following nebraska historically is a sad tale of woe. Between being the doormat for Iba, Phog Allen and James naismith they have played second fiddle to Football. When they were not getting clocked by their Big 8 brethern Creighton, texas, New Mexico and other southwest teams were beating up on them. In the days when the Big 8 only had one bid ....good luck getting into the tourney.

Seems like we always run into teams at Summer events from nebraska with HUGE kids in the middle. Never seem to see them get recruited. Always wondered if they switched to FB somewhere in their bball careers.

Checking KenPom.com this morning:

Nebraska is one of the best defensive teams in the country
- They give up 90.6 points per 100 possessions (19th best in the country)
- They turn teams over on 22.8% of their possessions (46th best in the country)
- Allow just 28.9% shooting on threes (40th in the country) and 43.7% on twos (65th in the country)for an effectice FG percentage of 43.5% (42nd in the country)

Nebraska struggles on offense
- Score 96.7 points per 100 possessions (245th in the country)
- Turn the ball over on 22% of their possessions (291st in the country)
- Only get 27.2% of offensive rebounds (292nd in the country)
- Shoot 31.1% of threes (250th in the country) and 49.9% on twos (110th) for an effective FG percentage of 48.7% (162nd in the country)
- Do a good job of getting to the line as their FTA/FGA is 45.2% (42nd in the country)

Nice opportunity here to beat a Big Ten team. I think Ohio gets it done in a close one.

Any suggestions for someone who just found out his in-laws don't have ESPNU? Also, I have DirecTV at home, so I don't have WatchESPN access yet (I guess I will in a week.)

Depending on their ISP, you may be able to get ESPN3.

Since the game is broadcast on actual ESPN TV, you have to have an account for WatchESPN with your TV provider, which I tried here, and I can watch ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN3 events, but not ESPNU because they don't get ESPNU.

The Jim Christian hire really damaged our program. I thought it was a great hire at the time but he was just looking to escape TCU and needed a landing spot for a couple years. Groce left him a ton of talent. I only wish Christian would have done the same for Phillips. I hope BC loses every game.

I got criticized when I said similar things about Christian. His personality ultimately was not a good fit for this program. Having no true point guard will pretty much hamper this team from doing much in March. Hope I'm wrong, but we just don't have a guy who can make the difficult pass in the lane and find the open man.

PS Look at what Christian has done this year. He's lost to every decent team he's played....sound familiar????????

This is the way it worked out. But, I don't really think this is what JC planned.
