Retweeted by Arkley. Ohio will play in the 2015 Paradise Jame, an eight team tournament set up identically like this year's Diamondhead tournament. This one's in the Virgin Islands and broadcasted on CBS Sports Network. Rest of the field includes Florida State, South Carolina, DePaul, Indiana State, Hofstra, Tulsa, and Norfolk State.

Without knowing what any of those teams brings next year, that's a winnable tournament based on what OUr roster looks like for next year.

That's what those teams are saying.

If they use the same pattern as this year, the dates will be Nov. 20-23, 2015.

That could be a fun trip. If you get a chance take the seaplane over to St croix, you should enjoy the slower pace over there.

Love this. Would be an easier trip for the fans than Hawaii that's for sure.

I didn't make my point well enough. I mostly just meant there aren't Kansas or Duke types of teams that we couldn't match up with very well. FSU usually has pretty good teams, but I wouldn't be consider any other team to be a potential premier team.

great opportunity for the Cats. With only 2 seniors we'll be young but I'm excited to see what a Simmons/Laster/R.Taylor/Kaminski/Campbell starting 5 can do 12 months from now.

Jordan Dartis (and Setty) might have something to say about your starting five there, but I certainly agree with your primary point.

Three seniors, no? ST, Bean, Mo.
Regardless, the potential is there for some nice teams in the near future.

I vacationed in St Thomas earlier this year. We arrived the last day of their Carnival celebration (looked like more of a small street fair than what I envisioned). Stayed on the far East end of the island about 30 minutes form the airport. Views were pretty incredible. Water was clear and warm. We were a bit unlucky with the weather while there but made the most of it. Only one golf course on the island and it's quirky to say the least. They give you a poster if you survive the "Devil's Triangle" without losing a ball. An iguana fell out of a tree onto my golf cart on about the 5th hole so that was exciting.

Not a ton to do around the island (we did not explore the small downtown area), but if you are a beach bum and hoops nerd this should be a good time. I would say my wife and I are unlikely to return to the USVI, too many other places to experience to repeat this one.

If you go, remember they drive on the left side of the road!

I found it interesting that Jim Christian set this up. I did not realize these are setup so far out, although I guess that makes sense. Hopefully they will continue under Saul. I do not see why they would not... Clearly the AD and such is OK with these kind of trips and I know Saul has already expressed his excitement.

We can certainly win this next year. Simmons and Kaminski matched up with Ryan Taylor and Tony and one of either Laster, Dartis, Block or Wadley. I wouldn't put it past Block starting. Dude really would be a great complement to scorers like Simmons is going to be. I don't know but I get the feeling that Simmons is going to be a Walt/Bassett type of talent who will lead the team in scoring next year.

At least a one day ferry with a rental vehicle over to St John's is a must - a whole different scene than St Thomas - beautiful desolate beaches over there.

Also - A half day boat trip around the islands with snorkel stops, a jump off the Willy T (do it in the buff and get a free T Shirt - vast majority do), and drinks (Painkiller is requisite) at Foxie's or Soggy Dollar on Jost Van Dyke is a wonderful day.......

They are in Coral Bay - where you wanna be - other side of the island from Cruz Bay where the ferries come in. Very small village - more boats in the bay than houses around the bay. Less "commercial', more rum in the painkillers.............

According to their website, an all-tournament pass for the 2014 was only $95. That's worth it for the three Ohio games plus anything else you would want to see.

I checked CheapCarribbean.com this morning and there are a couple of resorts with All-Inclusive stays for $1,500/5 nights plus the flight to and from. Trying to convince the gf that this is a good idea.
