I'm a junior and I was at Lucky's last night and he walked in. A small group of friends and I talked to him for a while and he even posed for a picture. I had no idea he was an alum.

Probably part of the Reds caravan that was in town.

Ohio has dozens of alumni in broadcasting, but only a scant handful wear their Bobcat stripes prominently. I'm not saying they should trumpet the alma mater all the time, but it'd be nice if their connections weren't such a surprise.

Anyone who is a Reds fan would know of his connections. Thom talks about the Bobcats and Athens on a semi-regular basis during broadcasts.

Almost as much as he talks about that evil empire up the road.

Ya know, these are the things you'll regret when he gets replaced by Warren Swain.

But what makes some people's head explode, Thom is also a Buckeye fan!

Think about the verbal smackdowns your dad gave you when you were a dumb, troublesome teenager. Then think about that speech in the intonation of Marty Brenneman.
