Maybe they deflated the ball a little bit for that last play.

Tony also had 10 boards in 23 minutes. Gets his 2nd foul at the 12 minute mark in 1st half and sits the rest of the half. Ends up with 3. Christian did the same thing with Mo last year-2nd foul at 12 min., sits the half & ends the game with 2. Coaches overreact and lose so much time with key players.

let's also not forget that it was Tony that got the rebound and had the presence of mind to immediately call for a timeout which gave the Bobcats the chance to run that final play.

I was actually kind of upset that Ohio immediately called timeout. Buffalo was on it's heels and Ohio had 2 players streaking down the court. I was thinking they should have let it play out to see if they could have gotten a cheap one at the other end. Oh well, worked out.

I did not see the EMU game...thank God. I know TC has had some issues with fouls. But in looking at the Season and EMU minutes stats, I just don't get how it is that he is only getting 22-27 minutes of playing time? This guy just flat out has to be on the court more, in my opinion.

Take his shooting away from the EMU game and we are 6-40. We just have some really lousy shooters. Or, as borna says we have shooters just NOT scorers! Too many guys haven't seen a shot they don't want to take.

I know there is a lot of talk about team play and the lack of it. I think it looks like we have a bunch of 1 v 1 players with 4 guys standing around watching. It is hard to figure out what offense is being run. I think I remember early on SP saying he didn't care much for the Assist stat...I think he might want to readjust his thinking on that if that is what he said. I'd make these guys go 25 or more seconds into every shot clock before jacking it up. That might even help eliminate any more blowouts.

Seems like the season just continues with the square pegs playing in round holes. It just ain't working and it certainly ain't getting better. This is the kind of season where a coach earns his money. We talk about FB not adjusting and it sure looks like BB is going down the same road. Coach needs to change something up!

You never know which Tony Campbell is going to show up, at least this year. Perhaps the coaches see the same inconsistency in practice and are dialing his minutes up or down accordingly. I saw him at BG and he clearly didn't want to be there. The low point was his shooting at 3 pointer at the opposing basket following a stoppage of play. Gentleman in front of me remarked that he'd never seen a starter so out of it from a mental standpoint.

I was hoping we would get the Tony Campbell from the last 10 games of last year. He developed into a real force. In theory, Tony and Mo should be a 4/5 duo that would give every team in the MAC problems. Hasn't turned out that way. I still don't understand giving him the freedom to shoot the three. When you have a bull, keep him a bull. Seems to me there are more 3-point shooters around than bulls. Otherwise, you turn into Danny Horace.

Last time I checked Tony was leading the team in 3 pt. shooting %. I don't have a problem with it.

SBH and Ted, I agree with both of you. I do believe some of this is on a coach who is changing roles and working with square pegs who don't fit into his round holes...but I sure would not have TC on the perimeter shooting 3s either. Then again, look at his percentage: he is one of our best 3 point percentage shooters! And last year he probably didn't shoot a dozen of them total. Oh, and Jeff, that speaks more about how POOR the rest of the team shoots as opposed to what TCs strengths are.

Earlier in the season, Saul said he had some parts and there was a good team in there somewhere. It really is up to him to game plan those parts to give the team a chance at success. Then, the players must execute. I am just not sure I see either this year, YET, for whatever reason. Or, he was just blowing smoke at us for the radio show earlier in the year...

That's not saying much on this team Jeff. He shot 65% on 2's last year and 55% this year. It is not easy to find 65% shooters on twos. So it's a matter of optimizing roster talent.

The problem isn't Tony. He just never gets a pass when he is near the basket which he is a lot. I've stated this before but if D.J. Cooper was on this team Tony is 1st team All-MAC this year.

Good point. Although the numbers would suggest that he is spending more time outside of the paint this year. But I guess if you're never going to get the ball...
