Connections to Columbus have Ohio cruising
By Mark Znidar THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
ATHENS, Ohio — Those who have followed Ohio women’s basketball during this magical season might be giving thanks for the Route 33 bypass that opened 16 months ago near Nelsonville.

The faster high-school recruits can get from the Columbus area to campus, the better off the Bobcats will be.

Ohio (17-3, 8-1) has the best record in the Mid-American Conference, and a chunk of that success can be attributed to four players who learned the game on playgrounds and in gyms in Franklin County.

Very nice article. Not real sure how many of those kids have actually been on a playground but well written just the same. A pipeline to Bolden. Props to Sameka for getting it started and Coach B for re recruiting them and motivating/building their skills. Competing and making news for sure. Kudos

Interesting. In this case Ted Strickland gets credit for being our sixth man on the recruiting trail . . . and 13th man for football. Go OHIO!

Women play at 7 so y'all have time to get refreshments uptown after the men's game then get back to the Convo to see the MAC leading team continue their streak.
(Let's see if the oil tender squid will keep his word to attend some of their games.)

Aye Aye, sir! We plan to attend some of the games, but this one is questionable as the good wife, and Varsity OHIO member, is out of town. I'm not exactly sure if she'll be back in time for the game or not.
