UVA lost badly (67-42) to Colo St last night in the NCAA tourney. Since winning the national title in 2019, they haven't been able to get past their first game in each of their last three appearances. They lost in the first round in 2921 (#13 Ohio) and 2023 (#13 Furman), and lost a First Four game last night. In 2022 they lost in the NIT quarterfinals. I don't know if Tony Bennett's job is on the line, but they certainly haven't built on the title run.

I can see Tony Bennett being one of the coaches disgusted with this new era of NCAAU free agency madness and just walking away on his own terms.

This.

After Jay Wright stepped down, my first thought was Tony Bennet is next.

I forget which player it is, but one player has played for four different schools in four years. I think he started at UVA before moving on to VaTech and then to two other schools. I think he was in one of the conference tourneys over the weekend.

Why stop there? Let's start trading guys mid-season. Maybe it can help move $ from one year to the next for those NIL deals. Guys can play for 8,9,10 different "schools".

They play a style that works for recruiting for that school. But, it’s a beatable style - teams can hang with them the full 40….
