I would like to apologize in advance: Because of clothing option limitations, I'm going to be the thirty-something wearing a jersey to the game.

Looks like a good night to listen to the men's game and watch the ladies game.

Or listen to the Men's game and watch a couple other compelling in state games:

UC vs Xavier
Arkon vs Toledo

Well, I just watched my first game of the season so they're mostly a blank slate to me. What I saw is a team with some solid offensive pieces who struggled giving up open threes off screens and couldn't consistently contain dribble penetration.

If any part of reading this board colored my perception, it was feeling like they're not the chummiest bunch out there even when things are going well.

So, there's my two cents

If you listen closely and read between the lines, I think Saul has said as much in some of his interviews.

Interesting stuff with RTaylor and Harley running the offense. Bean spent less time handling the ball which left him free to find a suitable attempt should he get the ball. I like it. And then when Stevie's on the floor, he's the PG. Now if you pressure RTaylor/Harley then they will likely turn the ball over a lot like they did against Miami. Then you go back to Bean...

Hopefully this will result in a better shot selection from Bean, I sort of thought it did tonight.

What do you guys make of this RTaylor and Harley stuff?

Nothing new here. Bean shooting well from outside (5 for 10), Tony & Mo doing well down low (10 for 17)...But lack of assists coupled with dumb turnovers (Bean especially) and foul trouble and lackluster rebounding for the bigs.

I didn't get a chance to tune in but looking at the box score it says after taking a 2pt lead with 6:01 left in the game we were outscored 15-2 and our only points came off of foul shots. WTF happened?

4 TOs (Tone 2, Bean 1, Ryan 1), 3 missed 3s (Ryan 1, Bean 2), 3 missed jumpers (Mo 2, Stevie 1) while Western went 4/6 from field and 7/8 from line.

I was listening, not watching, and I see that Mo got his 4th foul with 15:41 left and subbed out. He came back in at 11:06 and never got his 5th foul. But Western got 3 lay ups and a dunk after Mo returned to go with 2 threes and 2 jumpers plus free throws. Seems like Western played it smart down the stretch.

Yep, it's a trade off. He may be in the game but everybody on the court knows he's not going to be able to play any real defense.
