Yes it's been a frustrating season, but as Lloyd Christmas would say "So you're telling me theres a chance..." With Ohio locked as the 11 seed, we will be travelling to the #6 seed Monday night. Here's are the possabilities for where they'll play. (I think I have these right, please feel free to correc tme if im wrong)

Who we wont play:

Buffalo, Bowling Green, Kent, Central and Toledo have all clinched at least top 5 seed.

Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan will be the 9/10 or 10/9 seeds.

Ball st. has secured the #12 seed.

Remaining Possabilities:

Akron (5 of 8 scenarios, 62.5%)
Current Record: 9-8
Last Game: at Kent State

Western Michigan (2 of 8 scenarios, 25%)
Current Record: 9-8
Last Game: vs. Central Michigan

Miami (OH) of Ohio (1 of 8 scenarios, 12.5%)
Current Record: 8-9
Last Game: at Ohio

If Ohio beats Miami and:
1) Akron & WMU both win - Both finish 10-8. Akron would be the 6 seed*
2) Akron wins & WMU loses - Akron would be the 6 seed
3) Akron Loses & WMU Wins - WMU would be the 6 seed
4) Akron & WMU both - Both finish 9-9. Akron would be the 6 seed*

Miami could not finish 6th in any of these scenarios.

If Ohio loses to Miami and: MIAMI 9-9
1) Akron & WMU both win - Both finish 10-8. Akron would be the 6 seed*
2) Akron wins & WMU loses - Akron would be the 6 seed
3) Akron Loses & WMU Wins - WMU would be the 6 seed
4) Akron & WMU both - Both finish 9-9 with Miami. Miami would be the 6 seed^

Tiebreakers
*Akron wins tiebreaker over WMU with a 2-0 H2H record.
^Three-way tie. Miami would be 6th based on combined head to head records vs other tied teams. (Miami 2-1, Akron 2-2, WMU 1-2)

Looks correct to me. Any of those three teams I think there's an outside shot of an Ohio win even on the road.

Only if Bean jacks up 35 points, most from three-land.

This is Brown's fan logic.

That's pretty much the outside chance we've got. Every now and then, he can't miss. He might be due for one of those. It's unfortunate that's pretty much what we have to hope for to ever have a chance of winning.

This year has been tough enough to swallow. The last thing I want to see is yet another season ended in the MAC tournament by Zippy.
