Wow, just compared last years stats to this years..you tell me what your favorite comparison is and why. For example, I like to look at the assists numbers! I know early in the year it was a stat SP said he wasn't too interested in but I think it shows something about team play when you make that one extra (or hell, just one pass) each possession. Anyway, just a bit over 15 a game last year and under 11 this year. Tells me these guys never learned one of those basic lessons they teach you in kindergarden...you gotta share the toy (the ball) with your classmates (team). Any others out there?

We are 327th in the country in Assists/FGM (not good). There are 24 teams in the country with a worst ratio than us. A collection of the worst teams in college basketball and also the 20-win North Dakota State.

Saul's former club is 338th in the country in Assists/FGM. Last year they were 333rd in the country despite winning 26 games. I don't recommend it and I hope it changes next year, but Saul has made it work like this in the past.

The stats I would like to compare we can't find anywhere - unless we have a team psychologist or cardiologist that has them available for review somewhere........

That very interesting. How does a team win 26 games while being one of the worst assisting teams in the country? It just seems logical that assisting...i.e. sharing the ball, would be a vital part of being one of the better teams in basketball.

The only way you win without assists, I think, is in with transition points or with very good 1v1 players. Not so sure we've been very good on either of those points this year.

Great idea to hire a team psychologist for this group!
