Potential opponents because depending on the how the dominos tumble we could miss playing all three.

Hawaii lost to High Point this morning after leading by 9 with just over 6 minutes to go. They were outscored 20-3 down the stretch.

Shockers are looking in really good form already. personnel is tough. They play as a team and are unselfish.

Toledo is playing tough. I like what they are doing but we can beat em if you go straight match ups. Juice Brown got really good. Program guy for sure

I thought Juice was MAC's best player last year. The one who has added another dimension to his game is 6-9 Nathan Boothe. Maybe UT's best perimeter shooter.

not only that VCU does not have anyone that size in the middle so he looks huge at 6'9

Toledo went through a five minute stretch where they forgot what had gotten them the lead. They were successful taking the ball right at VCU but stopped doing it for some reason. Still a good showing against a very good team. They are an amazing offensive team but they don't appear to have gained any more interest in defense over the summer.

I thought that phantom defensive foul call was the turning point in that game. Toledo looked really good for 37 minutes.

I went to the UH vs. Pitt game. Great game by Hawaii. They play a very tight zone defense. Offensively they have a couple of that really move well without the ball. For the most part they played very unselfish and had a great win against a good ACC opponent.

http://www.rpiforecast.com/confs/MAC.html

For what it is worth the MAC is currently #4 in RPI. Rpiforecast.com predicts the MAC to finish with a 76-46 OOC record which would be the best by far in recent memory. Obviously we won't stay at #4 but the expected RPI of #11 is our best in quite some time.

Lost in a sea of pessimism last year was a pretty great RPI showing for the MAC. OHIO played a key role in that.

So far, so good for a repeat from the MAC. Surprised Kron has done so well without Treadwell.

I know it's early and these numbers aren't very meaningful, will change a lot, etc... but I added them anyway.

Ohio's RPI currently listed at 149. That's 4th in the MAC behind Buffalo (46), BG (60) and Akron (81). Toledo currently checks in at 309.

It was a really stellar weekend for watching hoops. Wichita...if we end up against them is going to be formidable. Hope Gulf coast and Belmont keep winning.

I'd have assumed you'd say any weekend is a stellar weekend Tom :)
