We need 17 points in the second half to get our highest point total in the last month.

Best first half since the DePaul game. We've built a big lead, now its time to slowly pull away...

You guys failed to reach 100. I bet you're pretty embarrassed by that.

favorite stat of the night- 2 pointers:

Ohio 15-25 (60.0%)
Fiami 16-51 (31.4%)

We missed 10 shots inside the arc, they missed 35. That seems like a lot.

Lol what is this? You sure are a curious sort, aren't you?

Odd responses from DK aside (does he always do that?), you certainly handed it to us tonight. Has a team ever taken 15 more shots than their opponent and lost by at least 30?

Interesting quote from JohnnyMac on HawkTalk:

"Five years ago, if I would have won a big lottery jackpot, I would have funded a new Miami basketball arena.

"Instead, tonight, when I win Power Ball, I promise to fund the Miami women's hockey team's move to varsity status."

After watching Cooper coach the last several years I cannot believe this guy was good in an interview situation. I don't know how Saul will shake out but as an interview I AM SURE he was solid and sold himself. I cannot believe that Cooper would have done that. Hopefully when they fire him they stay away from Tennessee State Technical Institute of Graceland and get someone in Ohio like OU did with Boldon on the women's side. I know, I know, Saul isn't from Ohio but he's a once in a lifetime get.

That was a 50/50 game for me tonight. Part of me was happy to see how we played, the another part of me of annoyed.

On one hand for a small crowd, during Spring Break with two poor teams playing on s bad weather night--that was a fun game and a nice way to finish your career in the Convo, all things considered. I got a lot more than I expected out of the trip.

On the other hand, the game was annoying. I have been as disconnected to OHIO Basketball this season as I have been for the past decade (though I'm still at just about every home game) and wasn't paying as much attention as I usually do. I've read all the excuses of why this season hasn't turned out well and in my mind I thought it was either 1) total mismanagement by new leadership; 2) total insubordination by the players; or 3) a little of both. Tonight was also annoying in that while I realize we weren't playing a very good team, we aren't as awful as we've shown ourselves to be. I knew we wouldn't be great going into the season, but I didn't think we were a 9-19 (4-13) squad and tonight confirmed to me that we aren't quite as bad as the sum of our parts.

I literally have no idea how any of this could be true.

You're really putting your energy into chasing down one of our many cartoon characters on BA?

God. Being a Miami fan has to be a miserable task with no end in sight.

Even if you accept the idea of having to play on the Friday night the week before the Tournament, you don't schedule your main rival that night. All games with your main rival must be on Saturday afternoons in order to draw fans who wouldn't travel a distance at night, especially a weeknight.

So schedule any other opponent for the Friday night game, but not Miami.

Unless you are Kent and Akron, as they are in close proximity (15 minutes) and it is guaranteed to be on ESPN2 like it has for about the past 10 years.

I'm putting energy into trying to understand what's going on. As a Miami grad, I have a thirst for knowledge and understanding. What do you mean by "cartoon character"? Is this a bot, a real person? If it's the latter, is he playing a role, or am I seeing him at face value? I truly don't understand.
