just heard this is the Coach took over the Taylor program. Any input? Cincy Princeton to State then restored Middletown to prominence the last 2 years? Holtmann and Groce Alma Mater looks like they may have stumbled on another good one to replace the great Paul Patterson. Gonna have to get to Taylor and meet him.

You've actually seen him coach when you came down to Cintas 09 and met me and GoCats105 to watch Princeton beat a Chane Behanon-led Aiken squad.
Josh took over the varsity program at Princeton prior to the 07-08 season following Bill Brewer's tragic fatal heart attack. Most remember Brewer as the coach at Roger Bacon who beat Lebron in the 2002 state final. They were the only Ohio team to beat Lebron while he was at SVSM. Coach Brew was the head man at Princeton for two years before his passing, and Josh was pushed into the varsity job. I think he was only 26 at the time. I'll always love that 2009 Princeton team featuring Marquis Horne, Orlando Williams, and Jordan Sibert. They lost by two in the state final to a Northland team featuring Sullinger, Burke, and JD Weatherspoon (don't get me started on the ref hose job in that one). They finished in the USA Today Top 25 poll and even beat Mason Plumlee's squad who I think was a national Top 10 team at the time. That team dominated with tall guards and athletic forwards. Their 1-2-2 zone press got them a lot of easy dunks in transition.
I don't know what year he left Princeton for Middletown, but I think the commute was much easier for him and the political and money landscape at Princeton was beginning to dwindle (it still is, sadly). Good coach who has always been a winner. Groce-like in attitude and on-court demeanor. Good youthful energy.

Thanks shabs. Thought that was the guy but did not recognize him despite our great seats that night. Looking forward to getting up to meet him.
