It's that time of year again. WWHWIHFE (We Wish Him Well In His Future Endeavors)

http://www.verbalcommits.com/transfers/2015

Particularly interested in Xavier transfer Brandon Randolph. Originally from Cali, so I kind of assume he'd head back that way. But, he just never was able to see the floor much at X being behind Dee Davis and Semaj Christon, so I'm not sure what he's capable of. Scout had him as a 4-star recruit and CBS Sports had him as the No. 84 player in his recruiting class.

I know Saul isn't keen on the idea of making his team a roster of transfers, but you never know.

Ball State losing Zavier Turner.

Also says Toledo is losing Andre Applewhite. He just got there from Mississippi State. Hmmmmmmm. Oh wait he left back in December.

I've never understood the issue with having a transfer every couple years as long as you know you're getting a solid citizen that fits your program. If someone leaves this spring, I think a transfer with 3 years of eligibility would be a fine idea because they'd likely have to sit out a year. Gives a year to get them acclimated into the program, hit the weight room, and be ready to go the minute they step on the floor for fall practice.

Teams are going to make a big push for Charlotte's Mike Thorne Jr. If we have the room, I hope we would be one of those teams. 6'10+, 250+, averaged 10 and 7 and eligible immediately.

I like that idea. While we're on this transfer topic, do we really think there's going to be room?

There might not be, but you never know. My guess is by mid-April we'll know if there's going to be another opening or not.

I don't remember seeing much conversation on here about NDour's revelation that he was so fed up with JC that he was going to transfer after last season until Saul convinced him to stay. Was anyone else surprised by this?

If that was the case, how fed up are some players with how this season turned out?

Steve Taylor Jr is transferring from Marquette. Wouldn't that be a hoot if he wound up here?

Just my two cents...

From what I saw this year and last, JC probably MADE the players play his way (or had players that wanted to fit into his systems) and maybe some players didn't really like that. On the other hand, IMHO, SP pretty much let the seniors play however they wanted without much regard to any offensive or defensive systems he was trying to instill (unless you can tell me what kind of offensive and defensive schemes those were). The results speak for themselves. Personally, I don't think this should have been a 10-20 team. Maybe they weren't gonna win 29 but remember, "the pieces are there, we just have to put them together" (early on SP paraphrase)...Again, that never happened.

bygones.

Hard to get guys to buy in. If you crush them in the process of "making them play the way you want" and they walk away what have you accomplished? I often had visions of Saul digging a hole in sand ....as much as he dug the sand kept sliding right back into the hole.

Bygones, Moving on.

Agree borna...moving on to next season. Hopefully the slate is clean for everyone returning, and we'll see a different looking team next year.

Toledo gets Steve Taylor Jr. from Marquette. He'll have one year of eligibility after sitting out next season.
