It was interesting to see him drafted in the first round. I live in the same school district so I have followed him. I still remember sitting at the Akron caravan (when we still had one here) and talking to Coach Groce about him. He was headed for Ohio until we ran into the academic problems with all of the Junior College guys that were brought in. We lost a scholarship for that one year and I believe it would have been given to Nance. I saw his dad and younger brother at the place I work out a couple of months ago. Younger brother is a string bean like dad, but was a 6'6" freshman last year.
