Wright State seems to be setting up well for Year #1 under Clint Sargent. Couple of assistants under Nagy are staying, along with former player Cole Gentry returning.

One news station had a report that Brandon Noel and Alex Huibregtse, two of their top players from 2023-24 who still have eligibility, both said they were staying at WSU.

Wait, so I can just stop by the Nutter Center any time I want now, roll into his office and ask him how many dribbles it takes to run out the clock of a MAC tournament game?!?

Wooo boy. My Friday afternoon just got a lot more exciting!

Only a technicality but I believe it was a late season game at Kent when it occurred OR did it dribble out multiple times?

Jaaron catches way too much shit for this. 4.1 seconds is not a lot of time. Kent defended it masterfully and Jaaron couldn't dribble out and no teammates were there to help. Kent made the shot and got the stop.

Good luck to him at WSU.

Not enough time?
It's more than 4 Mississippis.
It's 4 and 1/10 Mississippis.
A tenth being approximately "Mi".
Plenty of time, I would say.

Agree he catches too much shit for this, but not for the time thing. Ohio wouldn't have even been in that situation without Jaaron. That we made it to the MAC Semis after losing the MAC POTY midseason was pretty damn good I say. Now, if the way he transferred out of Ohio left a sour taste in people's mouths and this moment is what they come back to...that's a different matter.

I would have been happy with a half-court shot instead of what ultimately happened. In that moment, you can't dribble out the clock and yes...it's something that is hard to forget. And then boom....shortly after...he's off to Ann Arbor to ride the bench. It was quite the exit from Bobcat land for Mr. Simmons.

That's exactly what's happening.

We're not sniffing the MAC semis without Jaaron that year.

In my Ohio basketball head canon, we are a tourney team in 2017 if Tony doesn't go down. That injury was a fork in the road for the program for years to come.
