Remember Keyshawn Hall? Transfer from UNLV out of Cleveland that we were trying to snag?

Oh no what is you doin? https://twitter.com/A10Talk/status/1753858852347396318
That aside, he’s still having a helluva season leading GM in scoring and rebounding.

And in Columbus, the Hoosiers put another nail in the coffin of osu coach Holtzman. Indiana was down big before mounting its comeback in a half-empty Schott.

With Holtman most likely out. Do they try to get Boals? If not, I see a few players on that team I’d like

Feels like we just helped out Kent State and Kent State just helped out us.

At this point, their base would implode on the social media and basic Busch Light crowd if Boals became the coach. Nothing against Coach, but they will be thinking they have to make a BIG splash on this one. New AD, got to make the waves!

I think a guy is feeling his oats and perhaps also misses seeing snow.

Stealing a Tide coach would be a big splash. Nate the great would be in my crosshairs if I was the AD.

I was once concerned about Boals to OSU. Like after we got our 2021 tourney win, I felt if we came back with another strong year while OSU struggled it could happen. But if we are being honest, our program has not elevated the last couple years to the point hiring our coach would be seen as acceptable for a marquee job. It would take a DEEP run in March (like Groce in 2012) for OSU to even consider him.

McNeese just signed Will Wade to an extension. Translation: We're losing our coach but we're going to get paid. $700K is not sustainable in the Southland. How much of the show-cause would extend to the next school next year? If it's negligible or the school decides it could live with it in the short term, I could see OSU targeting Wade.

I watched most of the 2nd half of Baylor-Texas Tech last night. Baylor is a fun team, looks like a pretty talented roster. RayJ Dennis had a good game, and I believe the announcers said he leads the Big 12 in assists. Baylor has a 7' freshman center from Cameroon that looks like a potential star down the road. Very smooth player for his size/length.

Toledo loses at App State.
Akron looked terrible at JMU.

What in the hell is the conference's best NET win this season?

Miami at home against Vermont?

What is Akron's signature win? South Dakota State on the road?

Man....it's just awful to watch this year with what has happened to the league.

And because of the weakness of the conference I still say 5-6 teams have a shot to win this tournament in Cleveland.

The stars always seem to align for me to watch Big 12 basketball in the evenings. I saw some of Baylor-Oklahoma last night. Luckily, I was watching when the commentators praised RayJ Dennis. They mentioned he was unanimous MAC player of the year last year for...

...the "Toledo Flash."

Yes. They said that. Solid work, ESPN.

Indiana St. lost at home last night by 13 points to 11-14 Illinois St. days after returning to the top 25 for the first time since 1979.

That 1979 Indiana St. team had a pretty good player that led them to the NCAA tournament championship game against a team that also had a pretty good player.

1. Who were the 2 players?
2. Can you name (without looking it up) all the teams in the 1979 final 4?

And here is the sad thing. Because of this loss....Indiana State most likely needs to win the MVC Tourney to get in. They are far from a lock for an at-large.

Life of a mid-major.

I'm sure there's a .500 Big Ten or ACC team that will be "more deserving."

I hear ya and agree but how could the NCAA resist pitting 8-seed Michigan State vs 9-seed Indiana State at Indianapolis during the 45th anniversary year? Magic and Bird could be there. :)

I watched some of the Indiana State game. They were favored at home by 19.

Middle of the pack teams from "big" conferences such as Clemson, NC State, Texas, Texas A&M, etc would indeed mop the floor with Indiana State the way they played. And that is NOT sarcastic in the least. If they don't win the conference tourney and get sent to the NIT, some other team that's pissed off over missing on the NCAA bubble will blow them out.

The two "big name" teams they played this season (Mich.St.and Bama) did indeed kick their butt. Maybe I'm supposed to be more sympathetic to a fellow mid-major but the reality of it is that teams like that have records that are deceptive. Why GCU will be a #12 seed even if they have 30 wins.

Davis was so good last season he won 14 games basically by himself.

He's averaging almost 19 points for the RIP CITY REMIX in the G League. Guy is a certified bucket getter.

Of note, those two games against P5 competition for Indiana St were, of course, road games. Indiana St had one bad night and had a bad loss. A bad loss, emphasis on "A." Looking at Bracketology last night, one of the "last 4 teams in" was Utah. Maybe this changes after their loss @USC last night, maybe it doesn't. Utah is sub-.500 in conference play and, get this...1-6 in road games on the year. 12-2 at home. They have some decent wins on their resume, but let's not disregard their inability to win road games against ANY competition. That's the sort of team that will get rewarded with a tourney berth over a team that had a great season but loses in their conference tournament.

Caitlin Clark is absurd. She breaks the women's all-time scoring record on a first quarter logo pull up shot in transition. I had no idea she also leads the nation in assists per game, by a full assist over the second place player.
