I think the founder/owner is trying to stay away from the monthly subscription model. Honestly, 7,000 people isn't a ton of users, and that's with it being free. So he's hoping to not have to go to a paid-site option.

The fund-raiser right now will hopefully take care of 2016 while he tries to formulate a longer-term game plan. The poor guy is going broke funding this out of his own pocket.

Man, I love the sites. I have tried to even gradually add in my own notes for most games I attend, along with photos if I have them, to make it my personalized digital scrapbook of memories. I really hope it survives long-term, and thrives. I'm optimistic.
