Thanks for posting. Interesting read on the whole of the St. Johns class and Mullin and his staff. Sounds familiar to Saul & Co having to fill so many spots so fast, with the same number of freshmen.

Hope the kid can find a place to stick. From the sounds of that article, St John's has put together a pretty good group already under Mullin, they're just young.

Isn't this something like 6 schools in the last 4 years including high school?

I think you're thinking of Rio Adams. Owens did play a year of prep in Fla, if I recall, and although he signed with Ohio he was never actually with the team.

But bottom line, by the time he begins his 3rd year in college he will have only played about 200 minutes of college ball, all as a garbage time backup.

Jr year transfers to Pallotti High School - Maryland
Sr year transfers to TAAG Academy in Florida
Quit team middle of the season and transferred back to Maryland (different school and didn't play basketball there)

Ohio (never plays for us)
Plays with Tennessee
St. John's

Didn't his father and his AAU coach seem to be pulling on the poor kid in such a way that he really wasn't free to make his own decisions? I don't remember the details very well, but I do recall that that was my general impression.

He scored 9 points in the crab bowl and his AAU coach wanted him to go high major. He should of came to Ohio where he could have worked out the kinks. He may be going to St. Johns, but Tony Campbell would give him the business and we know what Ndour would have done to him. He will be at a DII school next year, no way he gets minutes at St. John's.
