I looked at the roster. Crabtree and Frayer are back. One new name in 6-7 Jaylin McDonald. He played both football (WR) and basketball for St Ignatius in Cleveland. That is a pretty solid program to grab a walk-on from.

All I have seen of him is the limited time at the preview Madness event, where he was a late add-in to the dunk contest. What I can say is that Jaylin has to be one of the most athletic walk-ons we have had here. He's got size and some serious hops.

I'm pretty sure he works for the Orlando Magic. Not exactly sure what his role is though.

Tunji was all heart. Not necessarily that skilled as a basketball player and undersized as a rebounder. But competed his rear end off and was a force on the boards.

For sure, he is really athletic, but I'm guessing really unrefined in his basketball skills.

The good news, that's the stuff you can teach. You can't teach a guy to be 6'7 and a leaper. I'm not saying he will become a rotational player, but he could get a little more run than a typical walk-on...which is none.

Still don't get it. Did he not have heart or was he really skilled and only par t was heart. You disagree that he was a skilled rebounder or that he was a force on the boards? You don't think he gave much effort and competed? I guess I am trying to figure out the different point of view and why you took time to post. truly interested in the POV.

TUNJI..was very skilled but a tweener. I played with him pick up in the Convo and Ping and the guy could BALL and he hustled his butt off. Not a great jump shooter but some nice low post moves for a smaller guy at 6'5 220 and he was strong with hops.
