That's really unfortunate to read. On a side note, I didn't realize you could be charged for not answering the door.

I'm guessing since there is a warrant for the arrest, not answering the door would be a form of obstruction of justice?

From other police reports I've read, this is exactly the case and this is not a common charge in these situations. They were preventing the police from doing their job.
