39 points, 34 of those after half-time as the women take down Central Michigan after coming from behind pretty much the entire game.

Not pretty much trailing the entire game, they never lead until OT unless I missed something. KB was amazing in the second half and OT. Unbelievable comeback!

I thought that we were fortunate to get this win. 29% shooting in first half, down 10-12 thru three quarters. In overtime we took two bad shots early not running off time up 3. Yet we will take the WIN!!

Ohio never led in this game during regular play, and only tied it once, on their last basket, a driving layup by Queira Lampkins with 14 seconds left.

Central stormed out of the blocks, taking a 16-4 lead. A visibly upset Coach Boldon pulled his 1st team for much of the 1st quarter. Every time Ohio started chipping away throughout the remainder of the game, Central came right back, and maintained a 10 lead most of the game. Credit the Chips for a solid effort. I thought they outplayed us and deserved the win.

After the game, Coach Boldon remarked the chance for win today without the performance of KB “was zero”. “Better to be lucky than good” and “ I feel more fortunate than happy” were two other comments he made. He was clearly not happy with his team’s effort today, giving up 84 points.

Cats go to 5-0 in the MAC, the first time ever.

Go OHIO

Boldon yanking the starters for a complete line change was reminiscent of Ohio men vs Lamar circa 2008 in Louisville. Roccaforte, when Ohio jumped out to a big start, pulled his entire starting five in frustration. Jeff, Borna, or TRMD may remember what ensued postgame.

The past two years the community has been supporting the Cats pretty well. It's the student side that is painfully lacking, aside from a literal few that attend almost every game.

Ditto with volleyball where Ohio is top 25 or so in attendance every year, no thanks to the students. Other schools like the Big 10 (12?, whatever) get most of their attendance from students, so it's probably not a gender thing. What gives?

KB surely came through yesterday for Ohio. It was one of the most incredible performances I have seen this season from one of Bob's players. Kiki struggled, but when it came time to perform she hit that one lay-up to tie the game.

Most people might forget.. CMU had the ball with just 14 seconds left and the length of the floor to go. Ohio forced a turnover which allowed them to eventually tie the game up. Truly a game Ohio wasn't suppose to win, but somehow all the odds fell in their favor.

It's a shame Ohio didn't play their best in front of those 1,000+ who came, but they sure did put on a heck of a show (and a heart attack) for them.

Also.. BobcatTV posted the highlights of the game yesterday in case you missed it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qmd59HEGcsc

Kinda confusing read on OHIOBOBCATS.COM (will someone learn them about typeface and spacing and legibility) but it appears that we were down 4 with 18 seconds to go in regulation but forced overtime?!

Kiyanna with 34 in the second half and overtime. That had to be absolutely stunning to see. I know that there was OT, but that's scoring at a rate of about 60 points for the game. WOW!!!

I love Boldon fierce in pulling the entire starting lineup. I love to read that Coach reacted to circumstances, sent a msg.

Did we extend him after last year?!

Yes, through 2020 with some promises on the side (refurbishing the locker room and some updates to the staff offices). Bob and the program deserve more attention, and I think these girls should be reeling in 2,000+ to games. I would love it if marketing gave the girls the same amount of attention they do the guys.

Bob doesn't sugarcoat things. If the team played bad, he says it ans isn't afraid to call his team out on it. He made a big statement when he benched his starters in the first couple of minutes of the game. He doesn't mess around, and that's a good quality for a coach!

When will these upgrades begin? Because their facilities are way behind.

There was carpet laid down in the offices last summer, but the locker room updates will begin shortly.

I would imagine there's a strong percentage of Ohio students that assume the teams suck unless they're ranked. I think you already see this in football and men's basketball. Even more uphill in less visual sports like women's volleyball and basketball.

There were flyers circulating about funding upgrades to the women's locker room at the men's game last night.

Carpet was laid through entire department, women got nothing special there. Don't get going, may be tough to keep Bob. We've got to be competitive.

The way the women are doing now(and last year), I'm thinking it'll be tough even if they make all changes. Same as Groce, you can only do so much. Hope he stays a while though, he's making it really fun to watch.
