Did I miss something? Only 3 minutes and didn't play at all in the 2nd half. Taylor played fine picking up for Antonio, but just wondering why he went from 11+ minutes a game to 3 tonight.

I believe that Saul was trying to match "beef" with "beef" after Big Dog killed us the first half. It looked like he was trying to have Doug hold his ground on the block area after the ball got inside.

and Doug did really well when he did get in the game, need to reward that with more PT.

I think it was because of the strength mismatch on defense. Johnson lacks offensive skill sets in the post but uses his strength and girth to force his way to basket or get fouls. I think Wadley was a great mismatch on the offense end though and he could have been used to get some fouls on their bigs.

In his post-game interview with Russell Saul said he played a "hunch" that Taylor would do well with the other players he had on the floor and against the defense that Akron was running. I thought Taylor played spectacularly. I'd like to see much more of that young man on the court in upcoming games.

Nice coming out game for Taylor - vs the Big Dog he was not intimidated - Will be fun to see him develop

For the few minutes Wadly was in there, he wasn't performing like his usual self. May have been the way Akron plays or the matchups, but I liked DT in there better than Wad.

Big Dog? Or Big Mac, Whopper, or Triple Cheeseburger? I guess it doesn't matter, he's effective.

I thought the same thing. He got beat on defense a couple of times in a row and just plain got pushed out of the way on a couple of rebounds. He didn't look like he was moving well to me.
