Well it hit with 4.9 seconds left so he posted up about 7 seconds to go. It was definitely in that gray zone and you always worry about going to foul right when they hoist and give them 3 shots.

Had a great chance to win at the buzzer but couldn't get it to drop. 1-4 is an unacceptable start to the season for a team considered to be the preseason MAC favorites.

We need to be stronger finishing at the rim and our 3-point shooting has been awful to open the season. I hate to pile on AJ Clayton but he is off to a very disappointing start to the season.

Eventually, we need to talk about coaching too. These are the teams Jeff Boals puts on the court. I think he's a good head coach and have praised him a bunch in the past but a slow start to this season isn't acceptable. We've given him excuses the last couple years and has finished strong but this was supposed to be a team starting strong with what we returned.

I mean I'm as down on this team as anyone but you realize we are now going to be playing a terrible Portland team next.

If we lose that, it's wilderness campaign territory. It's struggle bus to beat Muskingum territory. I'm not there quite yet.

Very poor game for Ohio. Bad fouls early got us into foul trouble. poor free throw shooting. terrible turnovers and lazy defense at critical times. We only have three bigs so Hadaway has to play smart. Couple dumb fouls go him into foul trouble. We really miss Mitchell on defense. Our guards get beat off the dribble

That was. . .not great.

But last year I overreacted to early season struggles, and the team came together. Hopefully he same happens this year.

I have witnessed so many let downs with hoops over 30 years. I finally left that mindset about 2 years ago. Any success before January is just a plus.

I am not even in hoops mode yet. Football Cats brought it last night and I am still rolling high on that performance. I am going with that!
