Can we PLEASE find halftime entertainment that isn't singing? I love music and I respect what these young men and women can do, but it's not loud and it's not exciting.. It takes any energy that is in the Convo right out of it.

I'd take Akron's football stadium over Peden 100 out of 100 times.
Barring an earthquake or nuclear war, Peden will still be standing in 100 years. Akron's stadium is a football McMansion that will need to be replaced again in 20 years.

And the difference tonight was a "program" vs a "group of guys trying to make a program." Dambrots loyalty has made Kron what it is today. We just didnt have the winning mindset that a "program" has. Hopefully we get it back from the Groce era. Jim Christian used us and ran. We are still recovering.

KK should have stayed in bed and missed the game, as it is his missed the game and he was on the court.

Bobcats can't win when they get poor guard play. Simmons and Dartis completely outplayed by the Akron guards. Can't turn the ball over against good teams. Simmons has to make those free throws. Turnovers and missed free throws cost the team tonite. Inconsistent point guard play from Simmons is the reason we are just 4-5 in conference play. Way too many turnovers. He has to reduce the turnovers. As he goes we go. He to play more consistent. Tonite he wasn't good enough. Akron made us pay for those turnovers.

Ugh. Such a disappointing effort in the biggest game of the year to date.

I love Jaaron when he's on, but he wasn't tonight: 2-of-9 shooting, 3-of-6 FTs, eight turnovers, five fouls. And I'd like to see a stat about how many points Akron got off his TOs; it seemed like every one led to a run-out.

Setty and Campbell were sharp. But our bench was outscored 45-11. And if Akron didn't miss 21 3-pointers, the outcome would have been worse than it was.

It's looking now like we'll be lucky to see a .500 MAC mark. Unless you're a top-four seed in the MAC Tourney, you're just dreaming.

Sucks trying to be patient and wait for the future.

Wrong 100% on Christian. He did the same thing Groce did. He took a better offer just as most any person would do whether a coach, engineer, CEO, .....

How offensive rebounds does one guy give up. Phillips should be all over Kaminski for not boxing out and giving up offensive rebound after offensive rebound. This happens game after game late. Attention to details is the difference between Akron and Ohio. We made too many mistakes.

I was only transferring to JC..I do not honestly blame him. KK is just too finessr to box out. I thought Treg should have played 38 minutes tonight. AND HOW DO WE NEVER DOUBLE BIGS???? Johnson killed us and nary a double team. I dont care about 3s. You knew he was taking it on 3 dribbles. And where was Mom? DT played great. Why not put DT and Big Tone together? Double bigs and get mismatches.

Anyone else getting tired of this narrative? You sound like Trump bashing Obama. We won a ton of games under JC.

And he took a job that any coach in his position would have taken. Better money, better conference, better opportunity for post season. It was the smart and correct business decision to make. Let it go.

So, other than the riches, how's that working out for JC at BC? About the same . . . no, not even as well as at TCU where he got the team all the way to the CBI quarterfinals. Sometimes people need to know their limitations and take success where they can get it. Analytics seem to indicate strongly that in his case it's in the MAC.

to say Akron is a "program" and Ohio is "just a group of guys trying to make a program" is absurd.

Need to separate ability to attain and ability to succeed. Have a client that went from president at one company, to another, to a third. Each time leaving a bit of carnage behind him. Each time attaining the position at a more prominent and better paying company (talking top 5 companies in their building products categories - e.g., windows) - Luckily he brought my firm along and we stayed well after his departure each time. Some guys can just interview really well.

This game will really tell me whether we have turned the corner with the past 2 wins or whether we regress to how we players 3-5 games age.

The 4 keys to victory are;
1) Stay out of foul trouble, particularly Tony
2) KK must shot the ball at a good % from 3
3) JS must be aggressive in taking his mid range jumpers and drives to the hoop
4) Keep turnovers under 10.

We have a real opportunity here to build on this turn around that started 2 games a go and especially since we are playing what is probably the best team in the conference.

GO BOBCATS
FT's
Missing Bunnies
3's and TO's keys were pretty right on

Going in, didn't we know that 'kron's the consensus best team in the MAC and we're okay, up and down.

So, tonight's result can't surprise.

Growing pains. Keep the faith. Hope that we improve this year. Then, expect results next year.

We played the best team in the MAC tonight, loaded with Jr's and Sr's who are battle tested. We made mistakes that young teams make. That being said, we drain three more threes and hit free throws like normal and we win. This game was much closer than final score. Hold heads high Bobcats, this is a game we win next year and who knows, maybe we get hot and take it back when we visit Akron in March!

Totally disagree with oubobcatJohn about Simmons supposed inconsistency. Yes, he was outplayed tonight, but he's been pretty consistent in MAC play. Hasn't had a high number of turnovers until tonight.

Then give your tics to someone else......plenty who would be happy to have them I am sure - I never have any problem finding someone and I live 70 miles from the Convo

Just cause we won a ton of games under JC doesn't mean he did good. He returned every player from the sweet 16 his first year and didn't even make the tourney. Not only did he not make it but he lost to the same team we beat the year before by 20. All while their star pg was in prison. The next year he did solid but still regressed from his first year. While doing all this(with almost all JG recruits) he failed to bring in much talent for the future. He brought in Ndour which was a great pick up but he did little to bring in other quality pieces. Tony has been good. Setty and Wadly has been ok but that's pretty much it. While I can't blame him for taking another job I can blame him for what he did to our program. He set us back 4/5 years and Saul is left picking up the pieces.
