He adds energy ..

Plays great defense ..

Makes the hustle play ..

Takes charges ..

Has played very well the past 2 games when Kenny Kaminski was out

Eastern Michigan 5 points 9 assists 2 rebounds in 29 minutes

Miami 14 points. 3 assists in 36 minutes

At this point in the season Gavin is averaging 18 minutes a game ..

In Last nights game he played 10 minutes and took 1 shot ..

Another thread notes that Saul mentioned he was sick before and during the game. Explains a lot after recent success. I hope he's recovered for Saturday.

Very relevant that he was out due to injury - I just today now see that is why he played so few minutes.

It's interesting that last evening on the coaches show, Saul noted that Gavin was not sick during the BG game.

Huh... I was told he was sick at the game. Guess I was mis-informed.

I'm going only off of what was said on air. When talking about the BG result, Russ directly asked Saul if he was sick. Saul said he was not.

It's water under the bridge at this point, but it's puzzling that he'd only get 10 minutes if he's healthy given his noticeable contributions in the prior few weeks.

you wonder if an internal issue has been created and kenny was upset that block played so well and stole his spotlight .. and you have to keep everyone happy !!

Something was up with Block because several guys on the floor were gassed down the stretch and he didn't see the floor. Maybe he tweaked the hamstring that he had injured earlier in the year.
