I still say this is the best measure of where things stand in the MAC. Road win = Birdie. Home Loss = Bogey. Thru 7 games:

Kent -2 (3 birdies, 1 bogey)
Akron -1 (1 birdie)
Northen Ill -1 (1 birdie)
Ball State -1 (2 birdies, 1 bogey)
Buffalo -1 (2 birdies, 1 bogey)
Central Mich -1 (2 birdies, 1 bogey)
Ohio E (1 birdie, 1 bogey)
Bowling Green E (3 birdies, 3 bogeys...bizarre)
Toledo E (2 birdies, 2 bogeys)
Eastern Mich +1 (1 birdie, 2 bogeys)
Western Mich +3 (3 bogeys)
Miami +3 (3 bogeys)

Home teams are only 24-18 so far. Making pars these next 3 games will be very challenging!

Thru 10 games:

Akron -3 (3 birdies)
Buffalo -3 (4 birdies, 1 bogey)
Kent -1 (3 birdies, 2 bogeys)
Ball State -1 (3 birdies, 2 bogeys)
Central Mich -1 (2 birdies, 1 bogey)
Toledo E (3 birdies, 3 bogeys)
Northen Ill E (1 birdie, 1 bogey)
Ohio +1 (1 birdie, 2 bogeys)
Bowling Green +1 (3 birdies, 4 bogeys)
Eastern Mich +1 (1 birdie, 2 bogeys)
Western Mich +3 (3 bogeys)
Miami +3 (3 bogeys)

This looks pretty grim when looking at it this way. Top 4 looks like a reach, 1st round road game still a distinct possibility.

If made commish of the MAC, I'd base the tourney seedings on golf standings instead of W-L record.

1) I'd make so many people mad. I'd enjoy that.

2) It'd be fascinating.

3) I believe you'd see the good teams' winning percentage on the road go way up.

That would really destroy some lawns. I like it.

I'm assuming this is somewhat tongue-in-cheek but when all is said and done Golf standings and regular standings end up being the same.

Yeah, what OUV said. Over the years of following the MAC, I've seen so many fan bases get riled up over such a great start, not considering they've played 5 of their first 7 at home. Our 5-5 record is more concerning to me because we have more road games than home games remaining.

Their losses in conference essentially mirror ours and they have three road wins. They open as 2.5 favorites. Next two games are going to be tough.

Two straight birdies... Need to keep par over next two at home.

With our recent performance Ken Pom now puts us at a 20-10 projection. Favored to win every game except for @Akron with @BGSU being an essential coin flip.

What a difference a week makes! Road teams go 7-5 this week. Absolute dream week for Ohio and disasters for Buffalo & BG. Thru 12 games:

Akron -4 (4 birdies)
Ohio -1 (3 birdies, 2 bogeys)
Buffalo -1 (4 birdies, 3 bogeys)
Kent -1 (3 birdies, 2 bogeys)
Ball State -1 (4 birdies, 3 bogeys)
Toledo -1 (4 birdies, 3 bogeys)
Central Mich E (2 birdies, 2 bogeys)
Northen Ill E (1 birdie, 1 bogey)
Eastern Mich +1 (1 birdie, 2 bogeys)
Western Mich +2 (1 birdie, 3 bogeys)
Bowling Green +3 (3 birdies, 6 bogeys)
Miami +3 (1 birdie, 4 bogeys)

The battle for the 2-4 seeds will be very fun to watch.

Felt like this needed re-posted to curtail the excitement over being only 1 back of Akron. Only 1 bogey/birdie this week...Thru 14 games:

Akron -4 (4 birdies)
Ball State -2 (5 birdies, 3 bogeys)
Ohio -1 (3 birdies, 2 bogeys)
Buffalo -1 (4 birdies, 3 bogeys)
Kent -1 (3 birdies, 2 bogeys)
Toledo -1 (4 birdies, 3 bogeys)
Central Mich E (2 birdies, 2 bogeys)
Northen Ill E (1 birdie, 1 bogey)
Eastern Mich +1 (1 birdie, 2 bogeys)
Western Mich +2 (1 birdie, 3 bogeys)
Bowling Green +3 (3 birdies, 6 bogeys)
Miami +4 (1 birdie, 5 bogeys)

Also, Akron's lone road game is @Miami.

The BSU @ Toledo game and Kent @ Buffalo game Tuesday will be big ones.
