What a strange win over our rival tonight. Kenny and Darty go 1 for 4 TOTAl from the field combined with Kenny grabbing ZERO rebounds and Jordy just three. We basically won with three starters and Block. That will be unacceptable come MAC Tourney time. Where were these 2? I read Arkley saying Kenny deferred to Block which was awesome to hear. Where was Jorday? He was relegated to perimeter passer. That's it.

Miami's strategy was to put heavy pressure on the perimeter. They closed out really well. It's on us to overcome that by either making quicker passes or putting the ball on the floor and beating them off the dribble. Only Jaaron (and Treg to a lesser extent) penetrated.

One mark of a good team is that when an opponent decides to deny one facet, a way is found to work around it. And when you got a dude off then bench ON FIRE and the big man going to town in the low post? Well there's your answer why only 4 shots.

Better question is that at game 30, teams have clearly scouted Ohio's post-rebound and perimeter passing habits and the turnovers in those two areas nearly doomed us last night.

Long and short, Buffalo chose to eliminate TC from the equation last week and we beat that. Miami chose to flood the perimeter and we beat that.

Adding to what Pete said... Every time Jordy got the ball, he was hounded defensively. Other than one really bad pass in the backcourt, he handled his job, which was to get the ball to someone else and not force anything. I love watching the Frosh light it up, but we have weapons everywhere. Kaminski wasn't getting much space either, then factor in his foul trouble and Gavin's hot hand and that's just how the game went.

A lot was made in postgame that KK told coach to ride the hot hand with Gavin and that he just wanted to win the game. This kind of thing is why we are 20-10 instead of 10-20.

I worry about Jaaron's legs... everything he threw up last night was WAY short. Hopefully just a cold night and not a sign of things to come.

Makes me wonder why Izzo didn't want to keep KK around. Most coaches want that kind of unselfishness on their team. Could it be that KK has changed since coming to Ohio?

I think Jaaron will enjoy the next several days off. It's such a key that we get the bye into Thursday. If not, Jaaron's legs would have had Monday after a Friday. Instead he gets the weekend plus four more days off.

If, indeed, anyone who's attended Ohio University has ever taken the weekend off.
