I like the name of his company - Court Street productions.

Looks really good. I'd love to watch the full thing. Wonder if it'll be online or released on TV or something?

I had a cousin who played for the aces and graduated in '76. My brother went to school there and was a freshman in the fall of '78. Very vivid memories of that fateful night. They rebuilt rather quickly and made the tourney in the early 80's. Richie Johnson and brad Leif were some decent players for the new team. God bless those young souls.

The Sporting News story also was written by an Ohio grad.

Was just reading about this and found out a couple of things I hadn't known. It was their first year as a D1 program. In addition, the lone surviving member of the team died two weeks later along with his brother when they were hit by a drunk driver.

That fact about the lone member passing away a few weeks later was news to me as well. I do remember seeing/learning about the Weeping Basketball while on a campus tour when my older sister was visiting/considering going to UE. Was a little too young to fully appreciate what it means/represents.

Thanks for posting. I, of course, always look through stories like these from the perspective of the Marshall plane crash. Some of the statements made here are so reminiscent of those made in Huntington eight years earlier. The one man who implies that after the crash everything in his life was different has been said thousands of times in explicit detail in the Huntington/Marshall community since Nov. 14, 1970. My heart goes out to these folks in Evansville even this many years after the tragic event.
