I know most of us dislike both schools, but have to root for the MAC in this one.

Unreservedly pulling for Zippy in this one. Couldn't do it at the Q on Saturday, but will gladly do so here.

I've considered the idea of going to this in blue with a Bobcats hat on. Ten bucks gets you in the door.

I'm rooting for a sinkhole or meteor.

Hopefully sinkhole. I live uncomfortably close to the venue for a meteor...

I'm thinking about going and wearing Bobcat gear and standing up and yelling THANKS after they chant O H I O

I haven't watched TOSU all year. I assume they will be as quick as Zippy and Zippy will lose. You know, like every post season game Zippy plays against a P5 teams....

Interesting they are still going to play this game at the Schott even though everything is all decorated for the High School tournaments from the girls the week before and the boys two days after.

Can't imagine there will be much of a crowd, OSU basketball fans are very fleeting. Hopefully Akron fans come out strong for it.

LOL, so am I. My son asked who I was rooting for Saturday and I told him before the game that for the first time in a long time I'd be rooting for Akron because I thought they would give the MAC the best chance to get a win in the dance...and then the ball was thrown in the air. And I found myself rooting hard for the Bulls. I just couldn't do it. It's never a problem for me rooting for them in the postseason though.

You obviously have no idea how any of that goes up or comes down. 20 minutes, you'd never know what was in there last or what's next.

Does HS use a 94 or 84 foot floor over there for Finals?

Actually I do have a pretty good idea and it's not just 20 minutes. I haven't been to the state finals in a while, but the last time I was they just used the OSU floor. If there is a floor change or things they have to do with the NIT logos on the floor it's gonna take more than 20 minutes.

Borna, they just play on the college floor length from my recollection.

There's never a floor change anymore. Before the NCAA bought their own tournament floors they used to swap floors between Nationwide and the Schott for the weekend so that the OSU floor would be down for the NCAA tournament, but that no longer happens, and OHSAA just plays on the normal OSU floor. Should be as simple as slapping 1-2 NIT stickers on the floor, and pull them back off by Friday.

I have always thought it was strange that kids play on 84 foot floors all year as per the NFHS and then come tourney time they have the extra 10 feet of a college floor. I remember when they played at Hinkle for IHSAA there was the regulation HS floor for the State Finals. Same now for Bankers Life...84 feet.

Always wondered how coaches in IL and Ohio got their kids ready for the extra length.

I sort of hate both teams. I'm sitting this one out. I think an Akron win helps them more than it helps Ohio. That's what it comes down to me.
