No one is giving the slightest consideration to doing away with the MAC Tourney...nothing to see here...move along.
Correct. Proof of controversial theory that not everything you see on the internet is true.
Sorry, I didn't mean the title to be click-bait. I've always thought of conference tourneys as extensions of the NCAA Tournament. All teams have a chance to get in the dance (auto bid). Some get second chances (at large). Not sure I agree with a third chance (league champ).

The listed attendance for the championship game (6,719) sure indicates that not many would miss it. That's WAY low considering Akron was in it

the avg attendance for Akron this season was 3,352, for buffalo it was 3,243. Their combined avg home attendance of 6,595 is less than the attendance on Saturday night, I don't see how that can be seen as being WAY low.

Considering there were 10,000+ in attendance as recently as 2012, last night's number is pretty low.

was that butts in seats or sold tickets? :)

I found it amusing reading some boards and chat lines regarding UB fans travelling and their view of Ohio teams being unfair that Cleveland was sooooooo far away and then mapquesting the distances. From Athens Campus to the Q is futher than from Buff Campus to the Q....and interstate the entire way/ Perception is way askew with reality. And yes..... I get that there are a lot of alums of a Bobcat persuasion in the area. Begs the question...where do UB alums end up?

That was my thought. Last year drew even worse with CMU and Buffalo (5,266), but 10K or at least flirting with it was the norm before that.

Maybe it has to do with decreased visibility of the tourney due to the earlier rounds being on a network that no one gets and sucks?
