I will say this is my only complaint from last night. Ohio just couldn't stop the ball in transition. Did a great job of retreating, but at some point you have to make the offense do something instead of letting them dictate the pace. Stopping the ball between half court and the foul line extended is the key. At least force them to a sideline. Retreat, retreat, retreat, then attack the ball handler.
It seemed that either we looked slow or we actually are slow, but either way that contributed to Beefs dictating tempo and getting good looks in transition, from both in close and out on the perimeter. And since we missed so many shots, they were in transition quite a bit. If we can add some depth (addition of Carter, development of Taylor) this may not be a problem going forward, but as of today, it's still a concern.
