Doesn't really matter. Dartis is on the All-Freshman team as he should be, and Thompson won Freshman of the Year as he should have. How the votes played out to get those results don't really matter as far as the end result.

Or is it the fact that the coach knows he's not as effective against fresh players. I see him as a very good player that is sort of a one-trick pony. Stick him on Miami and see how effective he would be if you don't have to worry about the other four players on the court draining threes. No way should he have been on the 1st team ahead of JTIV. He's behind him in every single meaningful category.

Much better overall IMO. I really disagree with JTIV getting DPOTY though. I would contend that not only isn't he DPOTY, he isn't a good defender at all. Fundamentally he's a mess and he plays like a freshman, going for the block on every single shot which leads to tons of offensive rebounds by the opponent (they are ranked #349 by KenPom in OR allowed.) EMU is a bad defensive team and he's a big reason why. It appears Hustle Belt just looked at blocks and steals and decided having high numbers in both means you are a good defender.
