They were listed as being in the last four out. I think that's closer than most would have guessed. Maybe they can make an NIT run. They should have a very good seed.

That's tough being that close but I think you're right that is' a surprise that they were that close. Too bad the loss to Buffalo was in the quarters. Maybe another win or two could have pushed them in. But they should be getting home games in the WNIT, right?

The list of teams in the WNIT are out. It's loaded with MAC teams: Akron, Ball State, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan all are in as at-larges. The bracket hasn't been set up yet, but other notable teams include Wright State, Michigan, Dayton and Marshall.

Dayton's starting PG lead Eastern to a State Title two years ago. That would be a great matchup

I saw her play a regional game a couple years ago. She was good. I would think that could be a reasonable possibility as a game. Ohio should get a really good seed. Dayton was just 14-14, I think, so they will be lower. But who knows. Supposedly the whole bracket should be out around 11:30.

5 MAC schools in the WNIT when the MAC is restricted to 1 NIT bid every year in basketball shows the corruption of men's basketball.

Fun Fact: It's the first time the men's and women's teams have been in post-season in the same year since 1995 --- 21 years ago.

The men's tournament includes 32 teams whereas the women's tournament is a full 64 teams. It's like the NIT, CBI, and CIT rolled into one.

I know the girls see the WNIT as a shot to keep playing and proving themselves. Ohio seems to have a pretty good draw, but we'll see in the end. I hope the Convo can keep hosting these postseason games, I realize it's pricey, but it's good for the fans and both programs.

With Buffalo not in the NIT, we should roll to the championship.

WNIT is not the same set up as the CBI or CIT, not nearly as costly.
