Nice story and has been a pleasure to follow her since I first walked into the Convo and saw her in a pair of dribbling goggles and baggy work out duds trying to secure a walk on spot for the Bobcats. Had a good conversation that day in June 2007 and been a fan ever since....fun to watch and catch up at Various venues. Good follow on Instagram, twitter and TV. Nice to see Verne taking a mentor role...and that he recognizes talent on the rise.

I started noticing that Allie was moving up, as they say a few years ago within the CBS Sport Organization Chart when she became the sideline report for the SEC Game of the week from her stint with the CBS morning sports show with Gotlieb.
Then as I was watching this years NCAA Tournament games I noticed that Vern always thanked Allie for her interviews. The thought did enter my mind that there is something special going on here and it was more about Vern and the type of person he is than anything else.
After reading this article my thoughts were confirmed.
Now I'm thinking that this relationship will benefit both as we move toward next years football and basketball coverage.
Great story.

This young lady has a lot of skill (s). My first impression was seeing her interview Frank on the weekly Bobcat Sports show. She was totally in control and kept things moving. Sensing that Frank isn't the world's best interview subject, I was impressed.
