Last night we saw two examples of why players need to know the situation and do just what needs to be done to help the team. With time running down in a tie game, Paul Jesperson of N. Iowa weaved through traffic and shot as soon as he was open for the game-winner:

At the other end of the spectrum, with time running down and his team down by two, Cincy's Octavius Ellis went for the dunk instead of the tip-in and didn't get his hand off the ball in time:

I still don't understand why so many Texas players were pretty much standing around instead of at least staying near jesperson.
