I had the good fortune to catch Bill's last game at Cal U.

Very cool. Bill Brown was an OU contemporary of mine and the literal and figurative soul of my still favorite Bobcat team of all time; one that featured Walter Luckett but needed Bill Brown in order to succeed.

I serendipitously happened upon one of Brown's California teams in Orlando 20 years later when that little holiday tournament there was just getting started and still featured D-II (III)?) teams, of which Ca Pa was one that day. I guess it's possible Smart was on the sideline that day, too.

Agree, Jim. Too few recall that he was Shaka's mentor and very influential in his career arc.
Also, Bill Brown had the silkiest crossover pull up jumper I have ever seen in the Convo. Always enjoyed talking to him the few times he was back in town over the years.

I have known Bill Brown since his Bobcat days he played for Jim Snyder and dale Bandy,. Bill and Dale still talk on the phone every week

Bill has won far more battles then he has lists.

If current and future Bobcats come close to following Bills win-- the future is VERY bright
