The second half of the UNC game was majestic.
We were at the dome in STL (crappy, crappy facility.. fyi). Although I purchased obc tix somehow there were two UNC fans behind us. They had a very fun first 20 minutes, but got exceedingly anxious the final 20.
It was thrilling to see 50% of the dome come alive and join our 25% in rooting against the Tar Heels. It got real loud, real quick.
I need to go back and see how close DJ's final shot was. In my mind's eye it was probably closer than it actual was. I thought it had a real chance, it would literally have been the equivalent of SFA's buzzer beater last night.
I drowned my sorrows in pasta at Charlie Gitto's postgame. All in all a very good day.
I was sitting in the grandstand on the field (out by the 10 or 20 maybe???) in the Ohio section. From my vantage point, I was looking directly at that basket at the side where DJ shot it. Bad vantage point to get a clear look of how close it was since I couldn't really gauge depth. From my view, it looked like it was good! I will never forget the collective sigh of the arena when it bounced out.
I remember the arena being largely Kansas fans, it was very fun watching them come alive cheering for Ohio in the 2nd half. I remember at some point in the 2nd, looking around after we hit a 3 and all these fans in blue were standing up cheering. Very cool.
