The rivalry that just keeps on giving! This could actually be a fun first round CNIT game and one that sparks some local interest and put some warm bodies in the Convo. Marshall went 9-9 in CUSA and 21-11 overall. I just glanced over the schedule and notice Ohio did lay a beat down on Middle Tennessee State a team that beat Marshall 3 times. But who knows with basketball. Depends on who gets hot as we all know.

Go Bobcats!

I'm sure their fans will be looking at our three losses to Buffalo. But I think we would have to be prohibitive favorites in this.

All of the teams/fans will be looking at how Buffalo played us. Fans may also see the loss at Illinois (who had 8 wins this year). Ohio had a tough non-conference schedule, and seeing the girls compete against Indiana, Vandy, FGCU, MTSU, etc. and get better throughout MAC play, I like their chances of making a good run. Hopefully we can keep hosting, that'd be a huge advantage.

Looking forward to watching the stream of this game tonight! Can Ohio continue to dominate Marshall athletics this year? Football, men's basketball, baseball! I do think we lost in women's soccer.

Fully agree. Also noticed Marshall put a hurtin' on Sameka's Alabama A&M team, but who hasn't. Marshall is a decent team so it could be a good game. But I got a good feeling about this one, we'll see.

Bobcats jumped out to a 19-5 lead and then it got real sloppy. I'm just glad they held on to win.

In the men's NIT, unlike how it was not long ago, the higher seed hosts. I don't know how the women's works. It is not run by the same people. As far as I know seeds are not published. I'm betting they will make us travel to Blacksburg even though the NCAA committee would have had us as a #1 seed in this thing and we substantially outrank the Hokies in pretty much every ranking. That's just how these things usually work.

I am SO proud of both the coaches and players on mens'/womens' teams for picking up wins in the post season. Awfully tough when yr dealing with disappointment of not making the Big Dance. Let's keep moving forward...

Maybe this happens in men's games, too, and I just haven't noticed, but I see a ton of players in women's games who really push off on the drive. #1, Scott, for Marshall last night was practically stiff-arming her way to the basket. I really can't understand why this is not an offensive foul, or better yet, why it isn't CALLED.

Big win for the ladies, KB played a great game. It was interesting that Marshall came out in man-to-man defense, was getting shelled in the first quarter, went to a zone and all of a sudden it started to look like we were playing Buffalo again.

A good game overall! Marshall played tough, and I'm glad Ohio pulled through. VA Tech will be a fun match-up. Hope more fans show this Sunday.
