Torvik: Ohio favored by around 12. 78-66 with an 85% chance of winning.

TR says 82.2% chance of Bobcats win.

They lost by around 50 to Louisville and 30 to Cincinnati.

Best win was by 2 at Cleve St. who doesn't have a quality win yet but did lose to Michigan by around 50.

On paper, this is one the Bobcats should win at home. No guarantee. YMMV

Best win is against one of our other opponents, Austin Peay (4-4). Who is Butler’s lone loss.

He was walking without a limp on Saturday. I suspect Boals is going to shelve him until MAC play.

Are the powers that be planning to have a MAC football championship game watch party at the Convo before the game? Might get more fans in the seats.

The Convo better be empty and all Cat fans in Detroit--not a terrible drive and only $23 bucks a ticket--what a deal! And against the team all real OHIO fans love to hate.

Wait. Why? The winner goes to the Beef O'Brady Potato Soup Bowl to play in front of 10k fans and the chance to finish #86. The loser goes to the Jimbo's Tires White Wall Bowl to play in front of 5k fans and the chance to finish 107th. Not sure that mandates an empty Convo.

The basketball team still has a shot at the national championship (albeit smaller than small).

I think 1968 is the reason.

I loathe this line of thinking so very much. So the National Championship is all that matters? Come on.

At any level but especially at the mid-major level, conference championships are of massive significance. To win the conference championship would be huge for the football program.

Totally agree the Convo should be very low attendance. Get to Detroit.

NJIT's only win is against these guys. They have only one consistent scorer and judging by recent box scores maybe some injury/personnel issues. Anything less than a win by comfortable margin would be concerning.

If it’s really all about ‘3-days in Cleveland’, this game doesn’t matter…just sayin’

It doesn't matter in the grand scheme, but it can matter as much or as little as you want.

I mean, surely we don't lose, so I'd like to see us figure out some rotations. We're gonna need to go more than 7 deep come MAC time. Even if it's just Evans as the 8th man... we need to get him going. Knowing this team, 5 mins a night in garbage time isn't gonna cut it.

This is such a weird part of the schedule. Only five games over a 37 day stretch. While I don’t like it…at least it’s good for Reef to get healthy. I would not rush him back at all. Watching Elliott get minutes and develop is huge moving forward. Really like this kid.

Solid effort. Clayton didn’t play in the last seven minutes. We probably should’ve won by 20. Pav clearly making it work inside the paint and he easily could’ve scored 32.

Really have to tip my cap to Elmore. He has his confidence back on the offensive end and it’s been great to see.

Still waiting for AJ Brown to have a breakout game.

Evans again looked timid and unsure. Don’t see him helping once conference play starts.

If a game was played, but nobody was there to see it, did it really happen?

Was driving back from Detroit, didn't see any of it and haven't gotten a chance to watch the replay.

Box Score tells me JP finally had a game where he was the goto offensive option. 19 shots after not having more than 10 since the opener. And 0 turnovers.

Checking in on my favorite narrative. Clayton & Hadaway 7 for 7 from 2, 3 for 10 from 3. Interesting.

16 point lead with 1 minute to go and we give up 4 junk points, big ouch for those who bet Ohio -12.5.

Didn't get a chance to watch the game.

Looking at the box score -- were the minutes played by Nicol and Evans garbage time?

I know Fear mentioned above that the latter looked timid, but saw he outrebounded Searls and Hadaway in just 6 minutes.

Yup…garbage time minutes. I believe Evans got a quick run in the first half as well though?
