I had a Columbus source claim the score was 81-49 OSU.

Yikes! Spot in time. I am sure we will gain lotza learns from the scrimm. We are wealthy at guard for sure this year. AJC is really more of a 3 for us. We need some Dwightish size but we are thin in the post this year! Hoping we can run teams out of the gym with our guards/speed. I do think this is going to be a great season for us 25+ wins.

I remember OUr women's team coming off of back-to-back MAC championships in 2017. Bolden got his upperclassmen work in the D1 exhibition behind closed doors. With a fantastic recruiting class of Cece Hooks, Erica Johnson, Gabby Burris, Kaylee Bambule, and Alexis Stover (who eventually transferred to Wright State and then Rice) I sat and watched him see what they were made of in the Convo exhibition against a non-D1 and if I'm not mistaken he made all five of them play all 40 minutes and find the mettle to hold on in the end while exhausted.

So, yeah, we don't know. UC's fan's complained last year that they heard we played to win last year while they didn't. But if that score is right, unless Boals did something similar to what Bolden did, it ain't good.

Heard Boals was given a tech ... in the scrimmage.

Which seems kind of like WTF, ... but this came via a referees grapevine so I'm taking it as true.

Oh I can definitely believe that one.

Ideally, you keep it close and this isn't a good result by any means - but I talked to someone on reddit about this as well.

Scrimmages are all different. "Secret" scrimmages are often quarters so they can work on more situational stuff on a smaller clock. It could've been 1 quarter of full-press. 1 quarter where OSU does only inside stuff. 1 quarter where OU is only trying to work on the inside, etc etc

Result still kind of brings me back down to earth, since it wasn't close and whatever we were working on wasn't working. So at least that's something positive to build on. I never would've made the claim we're on Big10 level, but hoping they got some good tape and can adjust come JMU.

And like someone else mentioned, unless someone leaks the tape - it could've been Burris, Sheldon, Ben, Evans, and Vic playing a majority minutes, who knows.

Side note: I thought Ayden's brother was on the roster? Am I mistaken? He's no longer listed if so.

Yawn...who cares. It's a situational scrimmage where it's virtually impossible to get into the flow of an actual game. Just be ready for the opener and don't release the secret weapon until absolutely necessary.

Boals is king of the dumb techs so this is not surprising to hear.
