But for all practical purposes it's just a source of embarrassment for the kid, who apparently is still enrolled and trying to complete a college degree.

We should delete this thread.

At what point, moderators, is this thread simply intended to shame an Ohio student? Can we just let this die, please?
+1 this serves no point
Have you guys truly missed the point of this? Bahamas Ezuma is still on the roster. That is relevant. Until Boals tells us what is going on, this is a story, whether you like it or not. When he’s off the roster, it’s over.

This isn’t shaming a student who is on full-scholarship and hasn't played one second of college basketball over the last 63 games. This is questioning why the program and Head coach have allowed it to get to this point with zero information.
I actually agree w/ Fear here. 11 pages is a little obnoxious but his point is valid. We are in an era of NIL and money being funneled through college athletics, so the level of scrutiny has a right to increase, in kind. That said, I don't think Fear's thread is about IJ as much as it is about Boals. I'm not wasting time going through 11 pages of material, but the sense I get is that the fans/alumni are at least owed a general explanation from Boals about the status of a player. It's more about whether we can expect to see IJ again or a general progress report versus specifics about his situation. Nobody is callous enough to want to know intimate details about mental health or grades, but it's fair to ask whether we should expect to see him participate in games this season (or again). I don't think locking the thread makes a lot of sense, as none of this seems personal against Ezuma. Obnoxious? Yes. Malicious against a student? No.

Did you just start following OHIO Athletics, rosters can go months without being updated.

From Rivals:

Redshirt junior center Ijomah “Bahamas” Ezuma of Ohio has entered the transfer portal. He had scored 44 points in 28 games for the Bobcats in 2021-22. He hasn’t played since.
__________

God speed “Bahamas” Ezuma.

A nation no longer waits.

IJ apparently is headed to South Plains College (JUCO). Spent three years at Ohio and then to JUCO. Hint hint.

Watching that small clip makes me wonder how much he could’ve helped. Not saying he would’ve made an impact but possibly serviceable.

He might as well.

He already has a permanent home, rent free, in Fear's head :).

To further Fear's frustrations, he's probably living in Saul Philips' Bahamian vacation home with Ellis Dozier, and Nate Springs.

Which one of those two guys was "the next Kevin Durant" per Saul apologists?

Wasn't it Springs because he hit a three point shot in an exhibition game?

Springs at least had himself a longer playing career than some others after leaving Ohio, playing at both Kennesaw State and Winston-Salem State.

FWIW y'all would take Springs over Wiz in a heartbeat.

Seeing Springs with this current coaching staff, and the way the game has changed even in that short time, might be interesting. Definitely would have the lateral quickness advantage. 😉
