As much as we BAers think our opinion is all knowing, if you were at the game last night and felt the excitement in the last 7:00 and saw the team celebrate their comeback you'd realize it's not about us; it's about the team. They want to win and just maybe they're learning how to win in a tournament. Is it helping for next year? I don't know, but I'm convinced it can't hurt. I'm heading down from Cleveland again tomorrow. Why not allow yourself to have a little fun and join me. If you like basketball and the Bobcats, what does it matter what the games are called . . . they're games OUr team is playing.

And that, my friends, is Professional Responsibility.

That is knowing how to do the do.

Because sports are about arguing over whether the attendance count is valid or not. And validating one's self worth over how well 19 year olds shoot a basketball. And showing everyone how smart you are by minutely breaking down university marketing plans.

Sports are not fun. Because that would be silly. And we are not silly people. We are very important people. Life goes on forever and we'll never regret being pedantic over something like collegiate sports. We'll never regret calling other people vile things over them. We'll never regret writing 1,000-word screeds over them. We'll never regret being dismissive and mean over them.
