BG legend and NBA Hall of Famer Nate Thurmond has died from complications of leukemia. Undoubtedly the greatest MAC player ever. RIP.

A great player for sure. He's one of only 2 MAC top 50 NBA players that I can think of(Hal Greer the other one I think), but I may be missing someone.

Very sad new. As stated above, Nate Thurmond was and still is the greatest player to come out of the MAC and for his play in the NBA. BG lost an all time great. RIP Big Nate.

I well remember his NBA career, but his BGSU career was before I followed college hoops.

I saw he and Komives in Grover, they were the best players I ever saw there that I can remember.

Those were the days when BG was our main rival in BB and FB.

Very sad to hear this news. The first time I saw Nate play was at BG when I was a freshman. I believe Nate was a junior at that juncture. He was a great player and a great gentleman. He truly was Nate the Great. RIP, Mr. Thurmond.
