btw all are good students which you guys seem to be questioning for some reason.
One guy provided a secondhand account. Let's not get carried away.

Welcome to the board. Best of luck to your team. Rebounding and dribble drive offense? Yeah, that gives us problems.

Yeah one poster said something abt academics. It's not "you guys." And I posted something saying we have no reason to question it.

Excited to be playing Morehead St. Would like a home and home series. What's not to like about it? In same region and both teams usually have decent RPIs.

The APR for Morehead BB for the last year I can find (2013-14) is 944, ours was 982. For what it's worth, we fell below the threshold and lost a scholarship since they did (2009-2010 for us).

Some do the same thing on this board -- copy a post from a rival's message board and say "see what THEY are saying about us?"

Morehead State, the place who took a gem right from under our eyes in the late 80's. Jerry and Billy both passed on a 6'7" shooting guard / starting pitcher from South Webster by the name of Brett Roberts. Both with a big wiff on the old back yard!

Big wife? I don't remember Billy having one of those. :)

Will ANYONE on this team start knocking down some shots?

Good season team. Always hate to end the season with a loss but you certainly exceeded many expectations this year. Plenty of room for growth but the future is bright and hope you learn and grow in the offseason.

Go Bobcats!

+1. I sure didn't foresee 23 wins this year.

A downer. I take full responsibility. The 'Cats won the two CBI games that I attended. This one I had to watch via webcast as I was out of town. Obviously, the lack of my onsite rooting was the root cause of our poor play down the stretch.

I agree. I'd rather see a Morehead State home and home over some of the Sunbelt, etc. schools. Always good to have regional arenas/gyms that are easier to travel to.

Looking at their season stats, this is a very deep, aggressive team. No one averages over 30 min a game. They foul a lot and force a LOT of turnovers. They pound their opponents on the boards.

Well - it surely wasn't stellar. The TO bug hit us again for a bit H1. Out manned/hustled on the boards both sides of the court again. The effort was there - just a lot not clicking tonight.

Sad to see the season end! I agree that it would be nice to see a series with Morehead in the future.

OCF said down the stretch. I thought we were playing better then than in the first half.

Buy games, stiffs, and conference games. Win the ones on your home floor in the middle of nowhere travel wise. Big game losses to Crackron, stiffs (BGSU), basically a buy game Morehead State. Hopefully next years team wins these games. Sorry if I dont expect to lose on my home floor, many of those 16 you are so proud of are buy game stiffs.

that is a bit unrealistic. Defending the home court is the goal and we did pretty well. To never lose....this ain't the Phog.

Some nights, you just get beaten by a team that played better. That's what happened last night. I have to think if Jordy doesn't get hurt early it might have been a different outcome, but Morehead made all the plays to win. We missed the front ends of 3 1-and-1's, that just can't happen in a tight game. Every big shot we made in the second half was answered by Morehead. Hats off to them for hitting big shots and getting the win.

I echo everyone else's sentiments about wanting to schedule more Morehead. They brought a nice crowd and if it was an early season Saturday OOC game, they'd bring even more fans to the Convo. You could tell they're well-coached and have experienced some success. No panic in the closing minutes.

This is a game we probably should've won, but Morehead showed real backbone on those treys in the closing minutes.

I thought that inbounds steal and lay-up was the biggest play of the game. It felt like the game was going to be a whoever-has-the-ball last kind of thing and that seemed to tilt everything in their favor from that point forward.
