As most of you know, I'm a UD season ticketholder and MBA alum of UD. News coming out that he passed away after collapsing at his parent's home this morning. While it is always sad for someone to die so young, Steve was one of those kids that had worked incredibly hard to maximize his talent. His death comes 20 years after another Flyers center, Chris Daniels, passed away in his sleep. RIP, Big Steve.

 

Indeed, very sad to hear. He seemed to be a good kid, and one with the potential to develop his game to play at the next level.

I enjoyed watching him play. I'd liken his style and effort to that of Treg Setty. Different kinds of players to be sure, but perhaps a similar type of scrappiness and hustle.
