Just wondering. If a major conference school that paid big $$$ for a women's coach wanted to interview him, would he be interested? Money does talk.

He has family considerations that many coaches do not have, so unless it's the mid-west I don't think there is a good chance.

Of course. And, on top of the money many other universities are in a better location than Athens.

(Don't get me wrong, I love Athens. But as we've discussed previously, it has some big limitations an is not for everyone.)

Besides the general poverty in southern Ohio, the Pike County massacre wasn't exactly good publicity for the area.

Pike County is basically equidistant from both Columbus and Athens. I don't see how it's "in the area" of Athens anymore than it's nearby Columbus.

Back to the topic at hand, of course he'd leave, and no one should blame him for that.

I mean asking if anyone would leave for the right price is crazy. I mean say whoever your competitor is at work offered you a contract double of your current employer. I would bet the farm that at minimum that doesn't get you to look towards that opportunity.

As to the question on this thread, I say absolutely, especially if it's a well-supported Midwestern program (Big Ten, Big East, ACC). Crazy to think I put those last two conferences into the discussion. All hail realignment!

Pike Co massacre is a non-issue. Multiple news organizations led with locale as outside Cincy.

No one professionally or personally has brought that incident up to me for discussion.

It looks like (the rumor anyway) Vandy decided on Neile Ivey from Notre Dame.

That puts any "TOS to Vandy" ooops... "Boldon to Vandy" thoughts out of mind.

Getting almost thru May makes me confident we've survived and Boldon is here another year. In a roundabout way, we probably have Buffalo to thank for that. An undefeated MAC record and trip to the NCAAs would've put him on a lot more radars.

Vandy introduced Indiana Fever WNBA coach and former national champion Stephanie White as coach today. ESPN women's hoops analyst Caroline Peck named associate head coach.

I don't know if Boldon was ever contacted but VU spent some BIG $$$ putting the White-Peck thing together.

As a head coach, didn't Peck win a national title? Or perhaps it was a major conference title.

Peck was the coach and White was an All-American guard at Purdue when they won a natty. Now White will be the head coach and Peck the associate HC. (and run things until the Fever's season is completed except for the month long break for the Olympics)

Between outbidding Ga.Tech for Bryce Drew and stealing White from the WNBA and Peck from ESPN... they busted out the BIG checkbook in Nashville this time. Could be the natty they won in baseball in 2014 has given that athletic department the "we can be as good as Duke/Stanford/Notre Dame" thing and they plan to run with it. Actually I would be surprised if both the men and women hoops teams there are not in the top ten within a few seasons.

Pretty funny....Dakich was touting Steph as worthy of being the Pacers next HC prior to McMillin as she was emminently qualified. He asked on his show who was more worthy....I tweeted to him Carolyn Peck as the one I had championed a decade ago when OBrien was hired. Now they are both in one place .....2 of the best basketball minds I have ever heard discuss the game...If they were men they would be getting big time offers. Both are quite capable of crossing over to HC in the men's game and would be extremely successful. Look for big things to happen down there. Recruiting will be the difference maker. That is a real tribute to Steph that she could bring in Peck and a real tribute to Peck that she sees a situation to stand next to White as an asst. My guess is that will be a force to be reckoned with quite soon.
