Here we are on Friday, 3 days after the signing period opened, and we have no announcements. What's up with that? Will there be no announcement to fill the 2 open slots?

Not really concerned at all. Remember, the three days that have passed were just the early signing period. It's not like Ohio isn't going to get the players. I want Saul and Co. to do their due diligence and get the RIGHT guys. They have until May 18th to sign.

Agreed - If you're paying attention to the general landscape of signings across the whole of college basketball, there haven't been a huge number thus far, relatively speaking.

You're right. I read something from Googling that led me to believe there was some small early period before the NLI date in April.

Still - doesn't change my opinion.

I don't think the guys who Ohio has shown interest in have made decisions yet. If they all were picking someone else, then you might have reason to be concerned.

None of our top targets have committed elsewhere yet so I'm not too worried.

One of our top targets announced he isn't announcing until the 23rd.

For those following along who are now confused and have forwarded questions.

The NLI signed in this period is for unsigned seniors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRP91VDjVQk This is not an early signing period for juniors as some have recently asked or assumed. The recruits these posters are talking about are current seniors like Bane that would be committing, be on campus in June and play next year... any other recruit in the Recruiting forum 2017 and beyond would wait till fall or spring of their senior year to commit....

It seems Ohio always gets all the signings done before announcing any. Locally here in Colrado Springs there was a whole column in the sports section of local athletes signing as well as multiple photos of some signing. Most were not D-1, but there were lots of them. I wonder why it's not so quick at Ohio.
