DJ with 13pts, 11asts, 13reb the other night. His current team is 3-1 in the French Championship and Coop's line is 17.8pts, 12.3asts, 8.3rebs.

Anyone think he will get another shot at the NBA?

It doesn't seem like it, which is too bad. If he's 6'5“,he probably does.

I have a client who is president of scouting for an NBA team and we have discussed DJ. He likes him, but sees him as a two guard and not a point guard, and thinks he's too small to play the two. Hopefully somebody gives him a chance. If not, he can have a nice career in Europe.

I have to question anybody that sees DJ more as a 2 than a 1.

Agreed, but I'd be curious to hear more about this opinion and why he feels that way. To this day, he has the best court vision I've personally seen at the college level. I know the NBA isn't the same, but it's still a skill lots of NBA players don't have.

This in one man's opinion, so there may be a chance for him in the future. There are 30 teams.

Didn't DJ play some summer league ball with Washington?

Just read where Trey Burke was traded from Utah to Washington this offseason and is backing up Wall at pg. And while it can be argued that DJ outplayed Burke in an NCAA first-round game a few years ago, Burke probably has a more NBA-type body than Coop.

He did. Got to see a couple of the games and to be honest DJ didn't really stand out. It almost looked like he was a little disinterested. Not very aggressive play like we are used to seeing.

I don't know French, but I'm gathering that only four NBA players averaged more than Cooper's 12.25 assists per game in a season, and NBA games are 8 minutes longer. I believe he must have had 23 assists in a pro game at some point in 2015, with 15 his high this season, and it notes his 17 for Ohio against Marshall, as well as his average of 10.9 per game in 2015. He ranks in the top four his league in the league in minutes (first), points (fourth), assists (first by a lot), steals (first) and defensive rebounds (fourth). Seventh in overall rebounding. His team is 3-1.

Was Earl Boykins really that much better than DJ?
Earl was only 5'2.
OK...5'4.
