Ted, barring any non-senior players leaving the program, do these three make up the Ohio 2017 recruiting class?

As far as I know, that is a correct assumption.

I'm really excited to see Mr. Butler on the court next year!

Holding judgement about the 2017 class but Saul has put together two really good classes in a row. The Block/Taylor/Dartis/Carter/Culver group will keep this team near the top of the MAC for the next three seasons.

Post article on signees riddled with errors. They discuss Vander Plas as if he has already graduated high school.

Fascinating. With AJ Gareri - can someone tell me what "interior sliding" is in regards to basketball skills?

So I gather the notion that Kaminski will apply for another year eligibility is not possible considering there wouldn't even be a scholarship open to him if his request was granted, or is he not even going to try?

NOt sure.... He also alludes to being at home in the Triangle. Not a lot of coaches using the Triangle. Must have been at a lot of this kid's games as the clips I see give no indicator of that in the clips.... If that just happens to be true he will really be at home in Saul's system which relies on smart players just playing ball. Not overly scripted and more free flowing in comparison to the last 2 mentors. I am more interesting in watching the progress of his ankle injury as the last FB game I saw him at he was still in an ankle brace from a mid summer injury.

I like VP and his mental and physical presence. Can't wait to see if our kid from South Carolina is going to blow up to be a huge diamond that got overlooked. Got skills and drive. Got to keep him healthy.

It seems like that option was ruled out some time ago, but Ohio has been moving forward as if he certainly won't be here beyond this year basically since he arrived. Not sure if he just decided not to bother or if he doesn't think it will be granted or what is the case.

I have never been one to closely follow recruiting but I think a priority has to be to get a great ball handler in the 2018 class.

So Wadley now redshirts. Does that put us over for next year?

It does but he's probably on target to graduate and if you love the school but just want to change your basketball future this might be the way to go. He'll miss out on a year of practicing with his new team but doesn't have to find a new situation in a rush. Transferring now, especially if the decision didn't come until after school started would be problematic.

From a very small sample on the court this year and a quick read of the recruiting threads, it appears that the Saul person can recruit.

Wasn't Wadley considering transferring over the summer until he decided to stay at Ohio?
